Here's another exciting announcement!!! Earlier this year, Olive Films struck a deal to carry the Republic catalog. Now, Frank Tarzi at Olive has given ClassicFlix the complete list of classic Republic titles they have acquired. The list is official and does not include titles already released or announced.
The slate, over one hundred films, contain a good number that have been previously released. However, many have never made it to DVD and will be very welcome. Most, but not all will get Blu-Ray releases.Gary's films include: Blowing Wild, Cloak and Dagger, The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell, Distant Drums, and Good Sam. Blowing Wild and Good Sam have not yet been released on DVD in Region 1. You can more info here: www.classicflix.com/olive-complete-list-republic-titles-a-1281.html?osCsid=ea04a373e07788a2e6e2fb41521b700b

All of these recent DVD releases are a lovely part such great news! I bought The Hanging Tree on DVD as soon as it was released from the archives, devoured it the day it came, and was pleased with the quality (to to mention the general storyline and cinematography). I now have my eyes set on the boxed set that includes Souls at Sea, although I may have to hold off on that, money-wise. ;-)
I hadn't heard about the future releases of Blowing Wild or Good Sam (neither of which I've seen), so I'll definitely be keeping an eye and ear out for those! Thanks for the heads up. :-)

For those of you who've purchased the High Noon Blu-ray, is their a big difference in video quality from the 2-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD? I mean, is it worth buying the Blu-ray?

I have it and I think it's a pretty good difference. That's one of my very favorites though so I definitely wanted it on bluray.

What about the special features? Does the Blu-ray carry over the same ones from the DVD?

The special features include the theatrical trailer and The Making of High Noon. It does not have as many special features as other releases so if you have another version that has more, I would also keep that one.
