This picture kind of stuck out to me randomly after looking at these for about 67853265023 times.

My question is, how does she look so bored? I would be, like, melting in a giant pool of drool. She looks like she'd rather be out at Starbucks or something. Not that they had Starbucks then.

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed by Colleen Moore in this picture. In fact, she overdoes so much of the cute-little-French-peasant stuff that I find an expression of boredom somewhat of a relief!

I like Colleen Moore but you're right about her in this film. In some scenes she is very good but sometimes she does mug for the camera a little too much. I like her much better in Ella Cinders and Orchids and Ermine. She doesn't do that as much in either one of those. She was a very good comedienne and since Lilac Time is a drama, I don't think it's the best vehicle for her talent.
