According to the publishers, powerHouse Books, An Enduring Style has been featured in the Australian Penthouse. Link here: www.powerhousebooks.com/site/?p=12740Also, for those of us in New York City: G. Bruce Boyer and Maria Cooper Janis will be doing a book-signing next Tuesday: Join us at the Bernarducci Meisel Gallery, NYC on Tuesday, December 13, 6-8 PM for the Gary Cooper: Enduring Style (http://bit.ly/p3QqvW) book signing. It's at 37 West 57th Street, 3rd floor. (This info. was taken from their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/#!/pages/powerHouse-Books/7521581610.) I'm still waiting for my book (although it should be in the mail...maybe today). What's making me most anxious is that I had the book sent to my parents' house out of state so that my mom could wrap it up for Christmas for me...and now I want it here so that I can go to the book signing and get it signed! Oh, decisions, decisions!

And I just found out that apparently there is another NYC-based signing with Boyer and Maria. From powerHouse Books’ page: “Paul Stuart and powerHouse Books invite you to a signing for Gary Cooper: Enduring Style on Monday, December 12, 5-7 PM” (at Paul Stuart, 45th and Madison Avenue).
So, to review: Next week, there will be two New York City-based signings, one on Monday night (see above) and one on Tuesday night (see the previous post, directly above this one).

The publishing company posted an album (on Facebook) of some pictures from last night's signing in NYC: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.610464816939.2140408.48801794&type=1#!/media/set/?set=a.10150432262553440.371281.83825623439&type=3. Sadly, I did not go, nor am I able to go to the second signing tonight. On top of that, my book still hasn't arrived, although it's been in the mail and "in transit," according to UPS, for over a week now. *sigh* Anyone else read his/her copy yet?! I can't wait to get the actual book in my hot little hands...all of the talk and photos surrounding it are making me eager. ;D

The book is great but I did notice a couple of mistakes. The pic on p. 40 is dated from 1956 but I think they meant 1936 as it's obviously from the 30s so I think that was just a typo. Also the pic on p. 147 is listed as 'Gary, on set, year unknown' but it is from The Texan (1930). It's a great book and I think everyone is going to be happy with it.

Apparently, my book has been "lost" somewhere in Massachusetts. Grrr...was supposed to arrive 1-2 weeks ago but the USPS tracking update hasn't changed since Nov. 30th. *sob* I'm probably going to have to lodge a complaint if it's not here in time to sit beneath the Christmas tree!
That's unfortunate about the mistakes, but at least they're not so glaring that we'd be too distracted from the otherwise loveliness gracing the pages. ;-)
