Maggie posted this one in the 1920s section and since it was dated from '32 I moved it here. 1932 A long-tail spider monkey presented to Gary during the production of A Farewell to Arms

His dressing room reminds me of a winter/hunting lodge somewhere in the mountains and not a regular room. ;D Can't say I like his simple style, especially the pine walls (I happen to have these in my bedroom on the ceiling..with wormholes and everyone but my landlord thinks it's fugly. No flowers...just looks a little bit boring but hey, if that made him happy so be it. ;D BTW, anybody else here seen Paramount Studios. I was so thrilled just to see the old buildings..it was like going back in time. I wonder where about Gary's room was located. Gary in his dressing room at Paramount - 1935

That's cool that you got to tour the studio. I've been to Southern California several times but it was all before I really got big into classic movies. Paramount is the only studio in L.A. still technically located in Hollywood and at their original location. There is a small building where they were located during the teens when they were first founded still around but they moved to their current location in 1926 and have been there ever since. www.seeing-stars.com/Studios/ParamountStudios.shtml

Yes, it was a lot of fun. Very impressive studios. We also got to see a movie theater inside. What I do remember is that they did tell us about stories from the golden days. Too bad I don't remember much of the design inside or what the stories were about. I enjoyed the tour a lot more than the one at Universal if not only for the old buildings. I wasn't much of a classic movie buff back then either but I have always liked the classics or I bet I would have taken more notes during the tour. That's cool that you got to tour the studio.
