I came accross something last night I didn't know. I read the following on my favorite movie which made me happy: "In 2008, Sergeant York was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergeant_YorkI'm not sure if this will mean a new restoration will be done on it or not, which could lead to another dvd or Blu-ray release. I'm also not sure how many of Gary's movies have been selected for this preservation.

Here's some other news I found on the battlefield where Sergeant York did his heroic deeds. It would seem that there is a temendous battle going on between the Sergeant York project team from Tennessee who relied on historic documents from the americian side and artifacts found and another project team that stated they found the exact location in another place and even had monuments put up. This team used all German documents. Here's some links to some interesting articles for anyone that wants to read them: www.sergeantyorkproject.com/fight-for-the-right-site.htmwww.worldwarmilitaria.com/forum/showthread.php?t=587
